Highlights
A body of work chronicling my memories of Bengal, some from my childhood and others received as secondhand memories from my grandparents and mother.

‘Before I Forget’ examines closely the gradual loss of cultures we grow up with in the pursuit of growth. The specific context of my moving to different places and eventually to London to progress my career has been explored from the lens of a migrant in the land of her former coloniser.

A selection of artworks and drawings of people, places and people in places. I am inspired by the interactions, both direct and indirect, that I have with strangers in my daily life.
The exchange finds its way into my drawings in varied ways, expressed in many different mediums, as showcased.
My illustrations were used in a classroom activity at the Swiss Cottage School, to accompany a fairytale. The fairytale told the story of Covid-19 and how we were all living in bubbles at the time. The story was a means to discuss an artwork in the collection by artist Rachel Whiteread, called 'Untitled (Bubble)’.
