The following illustrations were created for Ashdeen, a designer who works exclusively in the revival of Parsi embroidery.

 

Parsi Gara is a silk saree embroidered with silk yarn, showcasing Chinese imagery. This imagery mainly comprises florals and birds such as cranes and occasionally human figures. The motifs are a continuation of the traditional Garas that were highly influenced by the Chinese visual language. Ashdeen is currently the only brand in India keeping the tradition alive. I was commissioned for a year-long project with Ashdeen, creating social media and communication collaterals, to be circulated during major festivals in the country.
